History Of Rasool Nagar Near Ali Pur Chattah

Rasool Nagar was also known as Ram Nagar before Pakistan's independence from India in 1947. Rasool Nagar was a flourishing city and was an important commuting and trading route for many merchants. Merchants and traders brought their goods to Rasool Nagar Via the river. There were regaler ferry services to Rasool Nagar; Shops and restaurants were established along the route that people took to ferries . However, in 1950s and 60s Rasool Nagar faced an enormous decline in traveling along the river. Roads were built, cities like Alipur Chatta and Wazirabad became easily accessible. People started commuting directly to other cities and Rasool Nagar was no longer the bustling city. There are many notable shrines in Rasool Nagar. The baba Ghulab shah darbar holds an annual urs and carnival. Another shrine is of Pir Mulak Shah Mashhadi who is also known as " Mulak Shah Desaan Walah". Mian Saab Shrine is also located in Rasool Nagar and Mian Saab devotees are spread throughout Pakistan. It is important to mention that Rasool Nagar was an historical place with history extending back to reign of Raja Ranjeet Singh(a Sikh emperor) and rule of British empire.


Rasool Nagar is a small city in Gujranwala District, situated on the bank of the Chenab River in Punjab, Pakistan. The neighboring cities areAlipur Chatha at 8 km and Wazirabad at 40 km apart.

History Of Ali Pur Chattah

Alipur Chatha,his old name was(Akalgarh) is a town of Gujranwala District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is located at 32°16'0N 73°49'0E with an altitude of 193 metres (636 feet).[1] The municipality was created in 1867 during colonial rule the town lay on the Wazirabad-Lyallpur branch of the North-Western Railway.
Ali Pur Chatha Ali Pur Chatta (formerly Akalgarh) is a town of Wazirabad Tehsil in the Gujranwala District of Pakistan. It is situated nearly 35km away in west from the district capital Gujranwala, 28km in north from Hafizabad and 8km in south from Rasool Nagar and Chenab River and almost 8 Kilometers of east of Madras Chattah,and Sooianwala Chatha (سوئيانوالہ چٹھہ) .It is a lush green area,the main crops are Rice, Wheat, sugar cane & Maze.

There are degree colleges both for boys and girls. Ali Pur Chattha is also known as land of fisheries and approximately 35,000 acres (140 km²) of land beyond Mandi Baha_ud _din covered by fish ponds. Veterinary Dr.Mohammad Boota and his son Mazhar Hussain Mazhar also belong to nearest village Manchar Chatta from Insari Coast.The famous politician Hamid Nasir Chattha never ever won elections in ali pur chattha for mna.Haji Mohammad Ashiq chattha and Haji Mohammad Arif Chattha are well known personalities in Ali Pur Chattha.
